Mind/Body Medicine with Dr. Janine Lex – 02/03/10

Andie Hight will interview Dr. Janine Lex, a pioneer of mind/body medicine with her Global Healing center in Virginia Beach which works to activate the innate healer within its patients. Together with her team, she combines eastern and western natural medicine with transformative bodywork to create an unprecedented approach to physical, mental, and emotional wellness and self discovery.

Dr. Lex earned her doctorate in Chiropractic in 1984. She then went on to earn certifications in Acupuncture, Pain Management, Body Memory Recall (BMR), Cranial Sacral Technique, Nutrition and Quantum Touch.

For structural and pain syndromes the weaving of acupuncture, structural integration and good nutritional advice have made her approach unique and much sought after by those who have not found relief elsewhere.

A former community-based professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Dr. Lex has taught medical students about natural, holistic and integrated medicine. Spanning the continuum of health services education she continues to lecture for expanding integration of healthy living to bodyworkers and patients.
